We recently learned that our President, Jo-Ann Sloan would be stepping down from
the Cloverplace Board of Directors. Her job responsibilities have gotten larger and
that and the increased travel required make serving on the Board no longer possible.
The Association would like to take this opportunity to thank Jo-Ann for her many
years of service on the Board and to the Community. She has served in key roles throughout
some of the more difficult times our Community has faced as a result of the economic
crisis and the real estate challenges which have resulted. A real estate professional,
Jo-Ann's knowledge has helped get our delinquencies under control and a process in
place whereby these challenges can be managed in the future.
Thanks again Jo-Ann and good luck in your new responsibilities at work.
Last week's news was not all sad however. The Association was happy to learn that
a past Board of Directors member and President has agreed to re-join the Board after
having stepped down for a period of time to concentrate on some college studies.
We are all delighted that Suzanne Johnson will be joining the Board of Directors
effective with the next Board Meeting May 16, 2012 pursuant to the Board's responsibility
to fill by appointment vacancies which occur between elections.
As many of you will recall, Suzanne was instrumental in getting our insurance issues
resolved a couple of years ago when increased rates caused our monthly assessments
to skyrocket. Her's is a sound, steady hand when it comes to managing the Association's
affairs and we're lucky to have her working with us once again.
Welcome Suzanne!
Our current Board of Directors still has one vacancy and the Board has many things
it would like to get done for the Community. If you - or someone you know - has the
time and an interest in working with others to make Cloverplace a better place to
